Official 1974 Renault 16 TX miniature. Launched in January 1965, Renault 16 was first criticised for being too original, and finally received exceptional promotion by word of mouth. Halfway between the estate and the saloon, it aimed to "show the path for progress", as its advertising says... So much so that its atypical silhouette would soon be imitated by its competitors.
