Wooden Renault 7-ton truck
In 1950, Renault launched a new type of truck: the “Renault 7 tonnes”. It revolutionised the industry with by positioning the 6-cylinder engine horizontally between the chassis beams. This made it possible to place the cab entirely at the front of the chassis, offering significant space saving and a completely flat floor with no engine tunnel. It was a huge success, with several companies applauding its robustness and wide range of versions.
